AWS cloud hosting - Build Free Websites and Webapps
Build a website and webapp for free with a AWS Free Tier offer. Check out the free offers and services you need to build, deploy, and manage websites and webapps in the cloud.
I have used many services from AWS, and yes they do scale well, but they are always so confusing with 1000 moving parts. So this is not a platform I recommend using unless you have a specific reason to use it.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a comprehensive cloud computing platform offering a wide array of services to cater to diverse computing needs. These services are designed to provide scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for businesses and developers.
Key Features:
✅ Compute Services: AWS offers scalable computing power through services like Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), which provides resizable virtual servers, and AWS Lambda, enabling serverless computing to run code without provisioning or managing servers.
✅ Storage Solutions: Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) delivers object storage with high availability and security, while Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) offers persistent block storage for use with EC2 instances.
✅ Database Services: AWS provides managed database services such as Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) for relational databases and Amazon DynamoDB for NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance and scalability.
✅ Networking: Services like Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) allow users to create isolated networks within the AWS cloud, and AWS CloudFront offers content delivery with low latency and high transfer speeds.
✅ Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: AWS offers a range of AI and ML services, including AWS Trainium processors designed to accelerate machine learning workloads, and AWS Bedrock, which provides foundational models for generative AI applications.
✅ Developer Tools: AWS provides a suite of tools for developers, including AWS CodePipeline for continuous integration and delivery, and AWS CodeBuild for compiling source code and running tests.
Free Tier Highlights:
AWS offers a Free Tier to help new users get started with the platform. The Free Tier includes offers in three categories:
✅ 12 Months Free: Services available for free for 12 months from the date of account creation. Examples include:
- Amazon EC2: 750 hours per month of compute capacity on t2.micro or t3.micro instances.
- Amazon S3: 5 GB of standard storage.
- Amazon RDS: 750 hours per month of database usage on db.t2.micro or db.t3.micro instances.
✅ Always Free: Offers that are available indefinitely to all AWS customers, such as:
- AWS Lambda: 1 million free requests and 400,000 GB-seconds of compute time per month.
- Amazon DynamoDB: 25 GB of storage and 25 write/read capacity units.
✅ Free Trials: Short-term trial offers that start from the time of first usage, allowing users to try out services without long-term commitments.
These free offerings enable users to explore and experiment with various AWS services to understand their capabilities and determine how they can benefit specific projects or applications.
