How to create a Directory Item

After you have created a directory, you can add Directory Items to it.

  1. In the Directories tab, navigate to the Directory you want to add Directory Items to.
  2. Click on Manage Items.
  3. Click on Add New Item.
  4. Enter the URL of the product or service which forms the basis of your Directory Item.
  5. The Title will be automatically populated from the URL but this can be customised if you wish.
  6. The URL slug will be automatically populated. As this will be used in the Directory Item's URL, make sure you are happy with this or make any necessary changes.
  7. Review the Description of your Directory Item. This has been automatically populated to help you start, but we would recommend customising this so that it reflects your experiences and knowledge with the product or service listed. Take advantage of the Rich Text Editor tool to make the Description stand out.
  8. Choose an Image that best describes this Directory Item. This could be the logo of the product or service your are reviewing or a photo should you be reviewing a tangible product. We recommend that this should be square and the maximum size is 5MB.
  9. If you are ready for this Directory Item to go live, then make sure you turn on the Enable toggle. If you want to keep this in draft then this is the default.
  10. Click on Create Item.

Notes: i. You can make changes to your Directory at any time by clicking on the Edit Directory button.

ii. Changed your mind about this Directory Item? You can remove it from your Directory permanently by clicking the Delete button.
